1 year anniversary!

Hey reader! So you must be wondering, "What in the world is Diya doing here?. She is active on her word press blog.". Well the answer to that is that...It has officially been a year since I started blogging :))). (Btw, I was terribly busy the past few days so we may have missed it..by 2 months)  So at the time of writing (May 20th 2021), it's a year since my first ever post on blogger and I want to thank everyone who has been a part off my life during this time. You all motivated me to start a new hobby and here I am 😁 And to celebrate this occasion, I'll share the blog analytics and also answer a few mingling questions So...why did I start blogging? Even after a year of blogging, I still haven't explained why. So it was April 29th 2020, a week after my school closed down due to the pandemic. It was my vacation so I there was double the boredom. And then my dad suggested blogging. Now, I was not much of a writer so I was slightly hesitant at the time. I decide

Am I quitting?????

Image
Hey reader, Hope you have a nice day 😊 Well, you already know what this blog is about by the title. There is a time when a blogger has to quit their hobby due to overload of work or loss of interest. But calm down. I was just trying to scare you (I hope I did 😂). The thing is that I'm not quitting BLOGGING but I'm quitting BLOGGER, two very different things. The thing is that for a long time, my parents have been suggesting to move to Wordpress. And due to my unit tests, I wasn't able to blog for a whole month (See why I didn't update for a long time for details). This has cut the views by more than half and my blog is getting only one view per day. And Wordpress is a lot more active than Blogger so I'll be moving there. And I won't be completely abandoning Blogger either. I will post from time to time (Just not that regularly). When you visit my page to Wordpress you may find a blank site and that's because at the time of writing (13th Sep 2020) I haven

A Christmas beach vacation

Answers for the question in birthday blog:- Microscope, ludo bed sheet and giant dice (I admit, that was hard), nintendo switch (the cover but who cares?), book,Jenga and a Qiwi cube. Moving on..... A Must-Visit Place!! Hi reader, ✋✋ Do you like the beach? Beaches are the best places to go during the summer (except this summer). You can either surf in the huge waves or sunbathe while sucking on a grape popsicle. Beaches also have beautiful shells coming up with every tide. You probably know by now where this is going right? You're right, today's blog is about my Christmas trip to Puri, Odisha. This was a long one (5days stay). I was going to be there with my paternal grandparents and my cousin brother's family (and my parents obviously). The journey went something like this...... 23rd December 2017 We were at the Yeshwanthpur Railway Station (It was a train journey) waiting for our train to arrive at 11:30 p.m. It was a blood moon night. We boarded the train, looked at the

Why I didn't update for a long time

Image
Hi reader ✋✋, It has been like a month since I last updated and you probably must be wondering 'Where did Diya go?'. Well I'm back and I'll explain why exactly I didn't write for a long time Actually my unit tests had started from last Monday and I couldn't touch my laptop for anything but Zoom classes. The tests went well but there were two of them per day with no study breaks 😐. So I had to study for two subjects per day. Plus I was having 2 1/2 hours of continuous classes so my mom cut my screen time by half (And I like blogging but I really need my Youtube time). So that is why I was gone for such a long time. I am so sorry for not updating about it earlier. (You probably got bored of coming to 'Visions From My Life' and seeing no new blogs). now that my exams are behind me, I can blog again 😊😊 See you in the next blog, ✋✋

Birthday blog!!!!!

Party time!!!!!:) Hey reader, Hope you are safe😀 The day someone was born is celebrated every year as their birthday. Every single living being in the world has a birthday (except mayflies, they live for only one day). Every single day, more than a hundred thousand babies are born everyday so everyday is a birthday for a lot of people 😮 So my birthday is on 21st July (That means my zodiac is a cancer 🦀). Normally, I invite pretty much the whole layout. last year (my 10th b'day) there were so many people that we had to rent the clubhouse! But this year, due to the ongoing virus, I had to celebrate it only with my family 😠(no offense to my family but I like to celebrate my birthday with my friends as well). So here's how my most recent (11th) birthday went... I woke up, brushed my teeth and did my 4 hours (yes 4 hours) of online class. Then I went downstairs to open my gifts. (In the photo below, name all the gifts and send your answer to the comments, answers in the next blo

Fruit (and vegetable) bearing plants around me

Image
Hey reader, ✋✋ Remember to always wash your hands ;-) You may know that I have a lot of fauna around my house. But what about flora? Yes, I do have a lot of plants outside and above my house and today's blog is just about that. actually one day we had thrown all our vegetable seeds into the compost and used that for our plants. In the next few days, plants started growing from the seeds and voila! We had a whole farm of produce!🍆🍎🍌 #1-Lemon Lemons are actually the only one on this list (other than #2) not grown with our magical compost. We have one lemon plant on our terrace that is 5 years old! These look like limes but really are lemons and have the perfect tart taste. #2-Coriander On environment day (5th June), our homework from online class was that we had to plant a chosen sapling and help it grow. I chose to grow some coriander plants as when they grew up, we would have lots of coriander leaves, ready to add on dishes. These plants are still too small to give any leaves bu

The best trip ever?

This really was amazing!!! Hi reader, Hope you're doing good ;)   So if you have read most of my blogs (If you haven't please check all of them out), you probably know that I travel a lot. I love travel and take every opportunity to go on at least a 30 minute tour. Many of you must be wondering "Hey Diya, of all the places you've gone, which was your most favorite? Maybe it was that beach trip you blogged about earlier or maybe you had a trip abroad that you haven't blogged about yet".   Don't worry, there is an answer to that burning question. For starters I haven't been abroad before so no, it wasn't in Japan or Canada (But I may be able to go when Covid-19 ends). It was actually my trip to Kalimpong, West Bengal that was my favorite.(It was 2 years ago)   Oh, I didn't write about the Kalimpong trip? No problem, let me write about it now.   It went a bit like this… Day - 1
