Why I didn't update for a long time

Image
Hi reader ✋✋, It has been like a month since I last updated and you probably must be wondering 'Where did Diya go?'. Well I'm back and I'll explain why exactly I didn't write for a long time Actually my unit tests had started from last Monday and I couldn't touch my laptop for anything but Zoom classes. The tests went well but there were two of them per day with no study breaks 😐. So I had to study for two subjects per day. Plus I was having 2 1/2 hours of continuous classes so my mom cut my screen time by half (And I like blogging but I really need my Youtube time). So that is why I was gone for such a long time. I am so sorry for not updating about it earlier. (You probably got bored of coming to 'Visions From My Life' and seeing no new blogs). now that my exams are behind me, I can blog again 😊😊 See you in the next blog, ✋✋

Birthday blog!!!!!

Image
Party time!!!!!:) Hey reader, Hope you are safe😀 The day someone was born is celebrated every year as their birthday. Every single living being in the world has a birthday (except mayflies, they live for only one day). Every single day, more than a hundred thousand babies are born everyday so everyday is a birthday for a lot of people 😮 So my birthday is on 21st July (That means my zodiac is a cancer 🦀). Normally, I invite pretty much the whole layout. last year (my 10th b'day) there were so many people that we had to rent the clubhouse! But this year, due to the ongoing virus, I had to celebrate it only with my family 😠(no offense to my family but I like to celebrate my birthday with my friends as well). So here's how my most recent (11th) birthday went... I woke up, brushed my teeth and did my 4 hours (yes 4 hours) of online class. Then I went downstairs to open my gifts. (In the photo below, name all the gifts and send your answer to the comments, answers in the next blo

Fruit (and vegetable) bearing plants around me

Image
Hey reader, ✋✋ Remember to always wash your hands ;-) You may know that I have a lot of fauna around my house. But what about flora? Yes, I do have a lot of plants outside and above my house and today's blog is just about that. actually one day we had thrown all our vegetable seeds into the compost and used that for our plants. In the next few days, plants started growing from the seeds and voila! We had a whole farm of produce!🍆🍎🍌 #1-Lemon Lemons are actually the only one on this list (other than #2) not grown with our magical compost. We have one lemon plant on our terrace that is 5 years old! These look like limes but really are lemons and have the perfect tart taste. #2-Coriander On environment day (5th June), our homework from online class was that we had to plant a chosen sapling and help it grow. I chose to grow some coriander plants as when they grew up, we would have lots of coriander leaves, ready to add on dishes. These plants are still too small to give any leaves bu

The best trip ever?

This really was amazing!!! Hi reader, Hope you're doing good ;)   So if you have read most of my blogs (If you haven't please check all of them out), you probably know that I travel a lot. I love travel and take every opportunity to go on at least a 30 minute tour. Many of you must be wondering "Hey Diya, of all the places you've gone, which was your most favorite? Maybe it was that beach trip you blogged about earlier or maybe you had a trip abroad that you haven't blogged about yet".   Don't worry, there is an answer to that burning question. For starters I haven't been abroad before so no, it wasn't in Japan or Canada (But I may be able to go when Covid-19 ends). It was actually my trip to Kalimpong, West Bengal that was my favorite.(It was 2 years ago)   Oh, I didn't write about the Kalimpong trip? No problem, let me write about it now.   It went a bit like this… Day - 1

Locked!

Hi reader :D Hope you stick with my blogs! Just wanted to give an update. Everybody knows about the ongoing virus right? (I hope my blogs are giving company while you're at home :) ) Well earlier I used to occasionally go outside for a 15-minute bike ride, but I can't even do that anymore >:( . There is a colony right beside my house, separated by a wall. Well there were 3 Covid-19 cases there today, which meant everyone on our street couldn't even step out of their houses :( . The plus side of being locked in for 2 weeks though is that I can write more blogs :), So you may get more blogs here ☺ So just be careful where you go and always wear a mask when out and always wash your hands. See you later ✋✋

A squirrel (Mis)Adventure

Image
Hi reader, Hope you like  my blogs ☺ How would you perceive a story with squirrels in it? Cute, funny even emotional. But you probably won't think about unexpected or mysterious, and tragic as well would you? Well, today's blog is just that 😶 Here's how it went....... A few days ago, I noticed that there was a bad smell while I was brushing my teeth in the sink of the utility room, But I thought it was just the smell of the shells of the prawns that we had eaten before. Days went by and we continued to ignore the smell (I was confused because the smell continued even after the shells were thrown out). But yesterday I finally realized that the smell wasn't coming from the prawns at all, but from the tap water we were using. Then we decided to check the tank. The problem was that the tank was on a very high place, so with the help of a phone and a long stick we captured some photos of inside the tank. I reviewed the photos later and couldn't believe my eyes 😲 No, it
